Two dead, Eight injured in Qoryoley market explosion

liveTwo people SNA soldiers were killed and eight wounded in a livemarket blast in a town in southern Somalia on Sunday, according to the local authorities.

Mohamed Osman, who is in charge of the district administration has confirmed the attack, saying it was caused a land-mine planted in the city’s main livestock market.

The wounded include soldiers and civilians who were nearby the scene at the time of the IED explosion in Qoryoley, Osman said while speaking with Radio Shabelle by phone.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the land-mine attack, but suspicion falls on Al shabaab militants who often carry out similar assaults in Somalia.
