SUBJECT: CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR PARTNERSHIP WITH UNHCR SOMALIA

  1. Introduction

United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting

rights and building a better future for refugees, forcibly displaced communities and stateless people. In Somalia, UNHCR

provides protection  and assistance to refugees, asylum seekers and internally displaced persons in Somaliland, Puntland,

Galmadug and central  regions, South West States, Jubaland and Mogadishu. This is achieved through the

Representation Office in Mogadishu and seven other offices spread throughout Somalia.

UNHCR carries out its mandate through collaboration and partnership with both operational and implementing

evolving spectrum of complementary and mutually supportive activities, which form basis for successful implementation of

NHCR’s Programmes.
